twice today
we passed each other
and twice today
that friction of energy
and chemistry
and memory
tugged at the
the solid yellow line
like the force between
silver magnets
so we each turned
bullet-time
freeze frame
slow motion
twice today
a sideswipe glance
the closest we’ve been
in years
