The coffee here
in this cottage
by the sea
is a meditation
in itself —
never mind
the mechanisms
of convenience
this is hot water
from a kettle,
poured over
rich grounds
gravity and steam
grace and silence
sunrise
simmering
through glass
brewing
patience
